PowerPoint presentation can be created with automated or semi automated slide advancement. Each slide can include all the necessary audio files needed for a commentary and these can be set on a time line to start synchronised with other objects on a slide, such as the entry of bullet points. PowerPoint presentation can be stored using a ‘pack and go’ function, Package for CD, which stores the presentation along with a PowerPoint viewer. This insures that the recipient can run the presentation even if they do not have supporting software.

Combinations of these tools can be used to develop training materials for remote distribution by DVD or CD. An Authorware course could include links to PowerPoint presentations or audio and video documentaries.
