The Kindle

Amazon has recently launched a hardware device, known as the Kindle, used for reading and storing eBooks downloaded from their website. The popular launch means that the hardware is currently almost exclusive to the US. The Kindle does not support PDF, but a free service for Kindle subscribers can be used to eMail PDF files, which after conversion to the Kindle’s AZW native format are returned to the mailing address.

Publishers can host publications for Kindle subscribers to download free of cost and Amazon can also broker for publishers to sell materials.
