Wikipedia is an online encyclopaedia with resource topics proposed and developed by the internet community. A Wiki is a server side software which enables a client to create and edit web page content through an internet browser. Wikis may be available on social networking sites or as plug-ins for an organisation’s web authoring system to provision for ad hoc content development from authenticated users.

Wikis are of interest because they can be used to design structured web page content for more detailed answers or general information which can be developed by a group expert in a thematic field.
