Publications

Comprehensive resources of publications open for public access should be available on the website, catalogued and easy to find. These same publications should be available in hard and soft copy with the documentation centre, which may have internet ready library management software capable of hosting electronic copies for public access.

An organization can join Google Books’ publisher programme and publish electronic copies as PDF as full or partial publications. This same Google publisher programme can broker for sale of publications not available as a complete work, but expecting that selected chapters would be at least viewable.

DVDs or CDs may also be produced for distribution with all freely available publications and offered to other libraries or corporate documentation centres. The website should provide information of how these electronic copies, as well as hardcopies of publications, can be acquired.
