Really Simple Syndication

RSS is a standardised format in which regularly updated content, such as blogs and news bulletins are published. The format includes meta data such as title, author and date as well as full or summary article details and a hyperlink to the full article.

RSS readers are configured to receive and interpret news feeds so that the subscriber can read and manage news feeds easily.

Free RSS plug-ins exist for eMail clients such as MS Outlook. RSS Popper is one example. GMail users can also activate RSS features for their account to manage feed subscription, collection and viewing.
